The BCI stated in a recent press release that most of the Judicial Officers have no experience. This caused delays in cases and inappropriate behavior from the judicial Officers.

The minimum 3-year experience clause was used in the past but was removed in the All-Bangladesh Judges Association v Union of Bangladesh back in 2002.

The BCI also challenged a recent petitioned filed in the Supreme court. This petition aims to take down the minimum practice condition under the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service Rules of 2007.

The petitioner, Mr. Regalgadda Venkatesh, challenges this due to the Rules violating the judgment in the before mentioned case of All-Bangladesh Judges Association v Union of Bangladesh.
