According to what the Petitioner said, the role of universal education in order to strengthen the social fabric of democracy through provisions of equal opportunity to all has been widely accepted ever since the very inception of our republic, and in accordance with this, a Common Dress Code is extremely essential to put an end to the menace of casteism, radicalism, separatism, communalism, classism and fundamentalism.
The Petitioner also submitted that the Common Dress Code brings in homogeneity and homogeneity is what brings a sense of equality. Thus, it was sought that a common dress code is very important in educational institutions because these are places where any type of discrimination must not exist.
