IDIA aids COVID-19 relief efforts in WB with boat ambulances

The IDIA or Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education has tied up with the forces organizations and individuals to provide help to the needy ones in the State of West Bengal amongst the COVID-19 pandemic. It was provided that there was a massive increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in villages of Bengal whereas the foundation and aid facilities are not competent.

Keeping in view of this, the IDIA has provided isolation centres equipped with beds, necessary medicines, oximeters and other minimal basic needs, boat ambulances in the Sunderbans which is also well equipped with whatever is necessary for basic minimal treatment of COVID-19 patients along with PPE kits for boatman. A database of resources for West Bengal has also been prepared for certain districts which will also be useful for those victims of COVID-19. The database consists of hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, plasma donation centres, home care facilities, meals delivery services and many more.  IDIA has also mentioned of organizing blood donation camps, medical tests and oximeter checks at centres in rural West Bengal.
