The bench consisting of Justice Nageswara Rao and Justice Anuradha Bose has said that all safety measures are to be strictly followed and said that this plea which is filed at the end moment cannot be entertained as it would create an uneasy feeling in the minds of students who take up the exam.
The plea also contended that the notification of the Consortium of National Law Universities on 14th June 2021 was arbitrary and illegal. The plea says the notification was illegal because the exams which the students are taking on 23rd July 2021 are for the unvaccinated candidates as they fall under the age of 18.
The plea also said the National Law University Consortium has not to bear in their mind, the warning which several health organizations were giving about the third wave of Covid 19. Thus the plea prayed before the bench to postpone the Common Law Admission Test, 2021 till the pandemic normalizes.
However, the Apex Court refused to accept the plea saying the exams will be conducted with strict safety measures and authorities should not insist the students appearing for exams to take the vaccination.
